Right now I'm planning out a mod that makes dwarves turn into statues when they die (kind of a "from stone ye came and to stone ye shall return" sort of thing, if you get my biblical vibe) and I had to choose a type of stone. I considered that hey, a corpse is often blue and undead are often blue, this feels like a thematic choice. We probably used a couple hundred, maybe even a thousand bricks for it. We happened to have a ton of microcline lying around, so it went into bricks to make it. To make the tower, I wanted it to be all one type of stone so that it would be pretty. Since they were undead, we set the tower up as a series of shrines to various gods of death for them to worship at they all worshipped at least one god with the death sphere, or at least a god of something like depravity or violence or something else suitably dark.
